About
Along the way, I’ve learned to ask better questions, build strong teams, and turn ideas into practical frameworks for clearer thinking, better decisions, and focused execution.

Short bio
I’m an entrepreneur, operator, and investor with more than 25 years of experience building companies from very different vantage points: startups, multinational corporations, small and midsize businesses, and venture capital funds. I’m a computer scientist by training and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at IE Business School. I’ve co-founded two startups, led operations and technology, managed teams of more than 80 people, and served on corporate boards.
That mix of entrepreneurship, operations, and investing has given me a firsthand view of a few wins, plenty of mistakes, and many different ways of getting things done. I haven’t found a universal theory for building the perfect company… but I have learned quite a bit about what tends to work, what doesn’t, and why.
More than a decade ago, I shifted my focus to venture capital: first as an angel investor, then leading Bankinter’s venture capital program, and later as Managing Partner of Plug and Play’s EMEA funds, where I launched an AI fund in 2022.
Today, I’m COO of Zubi Group. Working alongside its founder and president, I lead execution, governance, capital discipline, and the group’s AI-native transformation. I also serve as an independent board member.

Writing in Spanish
I write to make sense of what I’ve learned, refine my thinking, and develop ideas about organizations, capital, and technology that others can recognize and apply in their own work.
The blog is more than an archive. It’s where that perspective takes shape over time.
